Maggie Haun was born in Carmel Valley, California, and was very active at a young age in music, dance and sports. Then, the summer before her junior year of high school, she discovered a love for photography and she never has looked back.
An introduction to photography in a darkroom working with film and alternative processes at her local community college, where she attended for her last two years of high school, engraved in Maggie a love of visual storytelling that continued into the digital world of visual acquisition.
Travel is at the core of Maggie’s soul and her love for photography grew when she went on a National Geographic expedition to Prague and was able to embrace storytelling and photography in a different country with new people and cultures.
Maggie currently attends Western Kentucky University, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, majoring in Photojournalism. She has worked, during her first year in college, on the school magazine, the Talisman, as a staff photographer and has enjoyed living on her own discovering her new independence 2,000 miles away from home.
Maggie is always looking forward to what is next as she makes her way to at Western Kentucky University and December 2022 graduation with a BA in Photojournalism, a double major in Advertising and a minor in Sales.
